The 2026 Lhasa Global Premium Goods Exhibition opened on Aug 11 at the Lhasa Hotel in Lhasa, Xizang autonomous region, as a supporting trade event of the traditional Shoton Festival, bringing together specialty products from 27 countries.

Featuring a wide range of goods, the exhibition provides a platform for trade and cultural exchanges in the plateau region. Residents and visitors can purchase products from around the world.

The Shoton Festival, also known as the Yogurt Festival, was among the first to be inscribed on China's national list of intangible cultural heritage in 2006. During the celebration, participants enjoy yogurt, gather for picnics, and attend traditional events such as Tibetan opera and horse racing.
