Mourning ceremonies for the victims of the recent mudslide were held in Gyirong county, Xizang autonomous region, on Tuesday morning of Sept 1.
The ceremonies took place simultaneously at the Gyirong Port branch of the Shigatse Public Security Bureau and the disaster's main rescue site where crews are working to restore road access.
Rescue workers, local officials, and residents participated in the ceremonies, paying tribute to those who lost their lives.
The mudslide, which originated on the Nepali side of the border, struck Gyirong Port in Shigatse on Aug 26, claiming 16 lives and leaving 546 missing, according to official figures.
