Road access to the mudslide-hit Gyirong Port in Southwest China's Xizang autonomous region was nearly restored at 10:00 am on Sept 2 after days of around-the-clock repair work on the damaged G216 national highway. Fire and rescue forces have optimized deployment to enhance search-and-rescue efficiency in the area.
