Two athletes from Xizang autonomous region will compete in athletics at the 20th Asian Games, which opened in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, on Sept 19.

Tsering Tsomo and Tenzin Quzong were selected for the Chinese sports delegation. Athletics events at the Games are scheduled for Sept 23 to 29.

China's delegation was formed in Beijing on Sept 4 and comprises 1,274 members, including 815 athletes — 404 women and 411 men. The athletes will compete in 369 events across 38 sports.

Some events began before the opening ceremony. The Asian Games will run through Oct 4.
