Repair crews from China Mobile Tietong's Xizang branch have restored home broadband and dedicated line services in the county seat of Drachen, as well as a key mobile base station in Maru Township near the epicenter, following the magnitude-7.0 earthquake on the night of Oct 22.

The branch dispatched eight emergency vehicles and 17 repair workers to the affected area, which has an average elevation of about 4,800 meters. After 12 hours of work, crews also established a dedicated communication line for the emergency command center, deployed emergency fiber-optic cables and expanded network capacity to support rescue operations.
