Following a magnitude-7.0 earthquake in Drachen county, Nagchu, Xizang autonomous region, on Oct 22, temporary prefabricated homes at a resettlement site in Maru township were connected to the power grid at 8 pm on Oct 25.
A team of 50 emergency workers worked nonstop for eight hours, erecting four utility poles, laying more than 600 meters of power lines, and installing a transformer to provide electricity to the temporary homes and help keep affected residents warm when winter approaches.
