In the deep spruce forest of Bomi county, Nyingchi city in Southwest China's Tibet autonomous region, mist clocks the spiky mountains and glaciers most of the time during the year.

With an average annual temperature at 16.5 degrees Celsius and an altitude of 2,720 meters, Bomi is well-known for its favorable weather and breathtaking scenery.

In the past, it was very difficult to get there due to poor traffic conditions, and clean water, electricity and Wi-Fi connections were not always available in this remote region.

"My business got better after the government conducted infrastructure construction projects, including renovating farmhouses, upgrading the internet system and improving roadway quality," said Nyima Tsering, the owner of Boboli Garden Homestay and also Party branch secretary in Baka village.

The moves echoed with the central's policy on rural revitalization, which urges local governments to increase support for key tourism villages in terms of funds, markets and talents, to achieve the goal of poverty alleviation as soon as possible.

"Barley was collected from farmers and made into flour, which tourists love the most," said Nyima Tsering. "We are always figuring out various approaches to lift up villagers' income."
