Walking through the alleys of the Zhaxi community in Lhasa, Southwest China's Tibet autonomous region, and learning about the difficulties and concerns of local residents is one of Gasong Quzhen's daily tasks.

Gasong Quzhen, the first Party branch secretary of the community, has been helping local residents address their difficulties and concerns over the past decade.

Known as a "living map" among local residents, she knows every corner of the community. She also knows that every aspect of her job contributes towards people's sense of happiness.

She has sacrificed much of her spare time to deal with community affairs rather than care for her own family, with great support from her family. That is why she can throw herself into a myriad of trivial tasks in the community.

Learning that 644 households in the community had not finished their real estate registration, she has been busy contacting competent departments for a feasible solution. As a result of her continuous efforts, the issue is now being worked on by local authorities.

Gasong Quzhen, as a grassroots community worker, not only solves problems for people, but has also helped increase their collective’s income. In 2019, she led her team to reform the collective industries, improved the property rights system of the collective economy, regulated the management of house rentals, hotels, and other businesses.

As a Party official of the community, Gasong Quzhen attaches great importance to Party building. In addition to giving lectures on Party history, she also shares the great changes in Tibet with college students and organizes various activities to enrich local people's cultural lives.

Always putting the people first, she has been elected as a delegate to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
