Founded in 1959, Lhasa People's Hospital （拉萨人民医院）is a 2A hospital covering a floor area of 3,840 square meters. 

The hospital has 32 clinical departments including internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, Tibetan medicine, pediatrics, stomatology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, rehabilitation, and anesthesiology, as well as 4 medical technology departments. 

The hospital was rated as the first 2A hospital in Lhasa in 1997 and the national baby-friendly hospital and the autonomous region's high quality civilized service hospital in 1998. In 1999 and 2003, it was chosen as the advanced collective of the national health system.
