More than 300 quake-affected residents from 68 households in Chudu village of Sakya county, Xizang autonomous region, moved into new homes only recently, in a sign of progress for reconstruction work in the area. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]
All 68 households in Chudu village have access to safe drinking water and stable electricity.
"Thanks to the care of the government, we have been able to move into such excellent new houses," Tsering Tashi, a resident of Chudu, was quoted as saying by China Xizang Online. "The quality of the houses is exceptionally solid, and we are very satisfied."
