Xizang autonomous region has expanded the number of regional-level professional emergency rescue teams to 17, after 10 teams were incorporated into the regional professional emergency rescue system on July 8.
The newly added teams, which were established by various enterprises and social organizations, include the Xizang Baoshihua Emergency Rescue Team, Xizang Chuangbo Tonghang Plateau Aviation Mobile Emergency Rescue Team, and Lhasa Lanyan Gas Emergency Rescue Team.
The expansion has improved the layout of emergency response resources and filled gaps in specialized rescue areas, including hazardous chemicals, power, communications, medical services, and low-altitude operations.
The teams will strengthen emergency plans, conduct drills and training, and improve their capacity to respond to emergencies.
Chen Lumin from Xizang Chuangbo Tonghang Technology Company said the team will use its expertise in drone-based aerial inspections and three-dimensional mapping to enhance rapid response, rescue, and emergency handling capabilities in complex terrain and extreme weather conditions.
