A central delegation led by China's top political advisor Wang Yang arrived in Lhasa, capital of Southwest China's Tibet autonomous region, on Wednesday to attend celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet.
The vision set out by President Xi Jinping on the governance of the Tibet autonomous region has been instrumental in the region's phenomenal transformation, and it will continue to chart the course for the region's ethnic unity, lasting stability and high-quality growth, said observers and local residents.
A grand gathering was held in Lhasa, capital of the Tibet autonomous region, on Thursday morning to mark the 70th anniversary of the region's peaceful liberation.
