When the central Chinese city of Wuhan was hit hard by the COVID-19 outbreak last year, Phurjung made a donation of 50,000 yuan (about $7,700).The 60-year-old Tibetan runs a mineral water factory in Shigatse, Southwest China's Tibet autonomous region.Though his own business was also affected, Phurjung did not hesitate to donate for the anti-epidemic cause.
Since the peaceful liberation of the Tibet autonomous region in 1951, the region has made all-around progress and historic achievements, officials said at a news conference on Friday.
